Director

Richard is a founding partner of Richard James, which he established alongside James in 2004 with a clear vision: to create a first-class, bespoke estate agency built around proactive marketing, outstanding presentation, and truly personalised client service. From the outset, their aim was to challenge the traditional high street model by offering a more dynamic, responsive and results-driven approach.

These founding principles continue to shape everything Richard James does today.

Richard has played a central, hands-on role in growing the business into one of North West London’s leading estate agencies. Through his leadership, strategic thinking and commitment to excellence, the firm has built a strong reputation for integrity, innovation and consistently delivering for its clients in an increasingly competitive market.

Richard is naturally entrepreneurial and always looking for ways to improve, whether through new technology, marketing strategies or customer experience. His forward-thinking mindset ensures the business continues to evolve while staying true to its core values.

Outside of work, Richard enjoys travelling with his family and discovering new destinations. He is a passionate foodie who loves exploring different cuisines and cultures, bringing the same curiosity and enthusiasm to life as he does to the business.

James Goldsobel MNAEA

Director

James is a founding partner of Richard James and has been involved in the property industry for around 35 years, having started his career as an estate agent in 1990. He began with a well-established Highgate firm before moving to St John’s Wood, where he further developed his expertise in handling high value homes and complex property transactions.

Raised in Mill Hill and educated at Mill Hill School, James has a deep-rooted connection to the local area and an exceptional understanding of Mill Hill and its surrounding neighbourhoods. This local knowledge, combined with his extensive market experience, enables him to give clients clear, honest and highly informed advice throughout the sales process.

James takes a hands-on approach to his work and is known for his integrity, professionalism and long-standing relationships with clients, many of whom return to him time and again for guidance and support.

Outside of the office, James enjoys spending time with his wife, five children and three dogs. When he finds a spare moment, he also enjoys getting out on the golf course.

Natalie Leon

Sales Manager

Natalie has over 35 years experience in the property industry, with her career rooted predominantly in North West London. Her long-standing connection to the area, combined with her genuine love of property, gives her an exceptional understanding of the local market and the people who live there.

As Sales Manager, Natalie is both tenacious and highly creative in her approach. She is known for her ability to think strategically, negotiate effectively, and present homes in the best possible light to achieve outstanding results for her clients. Building strong, long-term relationships is central to everything she does, and she takes great pride in guiding buyers and sellers through the process with care, clarity, and professionalism.

Outside of work, Natalie loves travelling and exploring new places with her family, bringing the same curiosity and enthusiasm to her personal life as she does to her career at Richard James.

Anthony Cooper MARLA

Lettings Manager

Anthony has been in the business for over 30 years and has worked locally for all his agency life. He is passionate about his job and is always available to help all landlords and tenants with all aspects of the business. He has obtained the Technical Award in Residential Lettings and Property Management and is a member of the Association of Residential Letting Agents.

Joseph Bookman

Sales

Joseph joined the Richard James team in August 2022 and has quickly become a valued member of the business. With a strong passion for the property market and a proactive, positive approach, he is keen to learn every aspect of estate agency, from sales and lettings through to client care and marketing.

He is highly motivated and takes pride in supporting both colleagues and clients, always striving to provide a smooth and professional experience for buyers, sellers, landlords, and tenants alike.

Outside of work, Joseph enjoys following his beloved Arsenal, travelling, and discovering great restaurants, often spending his free time enjoying good food and quality moments with family and friends.

Elise Power

Elise Power is a key member of the Richard James team and oversees the day-to-day operations of the business, helping to ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently. With her deep knowledge of the company and long-standing commitment, Elise plays a vital role in maintaining the high standards and service Richard James is known for.
